• For travelers aged 18 or older: 200 cigarettes or 250 g of other tobacco products.
• For travelers aged 18 or older: 1 L of spirits and 2 L of wine.
• Perfume: up to 250 ml per traveler.
• Other goods for personal use or as gifts (including up to 3 kg of food, no more than 1 kg of each kind): up to USD 200 per traveler aged 2 or older. The allowance is personal and cannot be combined; an item worth more than USD 200 is taxed on its full value.
• Travelers with nothing beyond these allowances may use the green channel; all others must go through the red channel and declare their goods.
Currency
• Cash and other means of payment (cheques, traveler's cheques, bearer securities and other negotiable instruments) worth ILS 50,000 or more in total must be reported to customs on arrival and departure. At the Nitzana, Erez, Jordan River, Yitzhak Rabin and Taba land crossings the threshold is ILS 12,000, and at the Allenby crossing it is JOD 2,000.
• Report the money on Customs Form 84 ("Report on entry and exit of money"), available in English, at the red channel or to the customs officer at the crossing.
Prohibited
• Pirated and obscene goods
• Counterfeit or imitation coins and documents
• Lottery or gambling tickets and advertisements without an advance permit, and forbidden games
• Knives, except pocket knives and knives for work, household or other legitimate use
• Radar and laser detector jammers
• Imitation firearms, starting pistols, gas-operated guns and tear gas canisters shaped like firearms
• Explosives, flammable substances and dangerous living creatures such as vipers
• Used beekeeping equipment and used sacks or wrapping that held plant material
• Equipment for making or using dangerous drugs
• Goods that incite violence, terrorism or racism, or show support for a terrorist organization
Restricted
• Plants, seeds, fresh produce and other plant products need permission from the Plant Protection and Inspection Services (PPIS) of the Ministry of Agriculture.
• Pets need approval from the Veterinary Services of the Ministry of Agriculture. Dogs and cats need a microchip implanted before or on the day of the rabies vaccination and an official veterinary health certificate. Certain dangerous dog breeds and their crosses may only be brought in with an Israeli import license.
• Drones, baby monitors, remote controls and other wireless communication equipment need approval from the Ministry of Communications (drones also from the Civil Aviation Authority).
• Firearms and firearm parts, laser pointers, electric scooters and electric bicycles need approval or a license from the competent Israeli authority.
• Wild animals and products made from them are regulated by the Israel Nature and Parks Authority; breaking these rules can lead to a heavy fine and up to 2 years in prison.
• Tobacco products that are not packaged and labeled under Israeli law may be imported only within the personal allowance.
