Free import
• For travelers aged 16 or older: 200 cigarettes or 25 cigars or 50 cigarillos or 250 g of tobacco.
• For travelers aged 16 or older: 1 L of spirits, or 2.25 L of wine, or 3 L of beer.
• Other goods for personal use bought abroad, up to a total invoice value of AWG 900 per traveler. If one item costs more than AWG 900, duty is charged on its full value.
• The allowances apply only to goods for your own use carried with you; they do not cover goods for other people, for sale, or brought in as a group. Duty and excise are charged on anything above the limits.
Currency
• Cash and securities worth more than AWG 20,000 (or the equivalent in foreign currency) must be declared to Aruba Customs on arrival, on the MOT (unusual transactions) form available at the Customs counter at the airport or seaport. This applies even if the money belongs to someone else. Failure to declare can lead to seizure of the money, a fine or a prison sentence.

• Firearms and ammunition may be imported only with a licence.
• Medicines need a licence from the Inspection for Medicinal Products. Travelers who take medicines regularly should carry a medical passport or doctor's statement showing that the medicines are for personal use.
• Plants need an import permit from the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (health certificate and invoices required).
• Meat and meat products may be imported only from approved slaughterhouses in approved countries, with an official health certificate and a permit from the Veterinary Service.
• All live animals need prior permission from the Veterinary Service ([email protected]). Dogs and cats need an ISO or AVID microchip, a health certificate issued no more than 2 weeks before arrival, and a rabies vaccination given at least 30 days before arrival (not required for animals under 3 months). Pets from the USA must have lived there for the 6 months before travel (or since birth).
• Dogs and cats from South and Central America, Cuba, Haiti and the Dominican Republic may not be imported, except as part of household effects with a statement of no objection from the Veterinary Service.
• Endangered species and products made from them (CITES), such as sea turtles, parrots, iguanas, queen conch and coral, need a valid CITES permit.
• Pesticides need a permit from the Inspection for Medicinal Products; some telecommunications equipment (for example wireless phones and modems) needs an import licence.
