Itinerary. A copy of round trip tickets or detailed itinerary for the duration of the trip. The applicant's name must be on itinerary.

Business invitation. A business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in the destination country. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to "The Consulate of Tanzania, Visa Section", and signed by a senior manager. The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:
Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
State the nature of the business to be conducted (i.e. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in the destination country.
Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (i.e. a one year multiple entry business visa).

Business registartion. A copy of the host organization's Certificate of Incorporation or business registration in the country of destination.

Personal letter. Applicant's letter detailing the nature of business he/she wishes to undertake (if visiting for Setting up a business).

Business permit. Permission from a competent authority (if visiting for Business research).

Contract. Contract for service (if visiting for Technical activities with registered-private Companies/Institutions OR Facilitate trade in services OR Implementation of technical & Service contract OR Pre-skills test ).

- Instances of crime including muggings and theft have been reported throughout the country and all travellers are urged to keep their passport and other valuables in a safe and secure location for the duration of their visit and should avoid any obvious displays of affluence which could serve to attract attention. Drugging of drinks in popular night clubs and bars is not uncommon and all visitors should exercise caution in unfamiliar and potentially dangerous environments. Sexual assaults and rapes can occur and female travellers in particular should avoid travelling throughout poorly lit areas of the country after dark.
