One-Day Registration Window Opens 1 November for Employee-Card Applicants in Turkey

One-Day Registration Window Opens 1 November for Employee-Card Applicants in Turkey
Czech employers recruiting talent from Turkey should note that the Czech Embassy in Ankara will accept e-mail registrations for employee-card appointments only on 1 November 2025 between 08:30 and 14:30 (local time). Under Government Regulation 220/2019, the Ankara post may allocate just 29 appointment slots for the entire month of November, making timely registration critical.

Applicants must send a single e-mail to [email protected] with the passport number in the subject line and personal data plus scanned documents—passport bio page and work contract—in PDF attachments. Multiple e-mails or incorrect subject lines result in automatic disqualification. Once capacity is reached, remaining requests receive an automated rejection.

For Czech companies that rely on Turkish engineers, medical staff or seasonal workers, the extremely limited quota intensifies competition for slots and lengthens lead-times for onboarding. Mobility managers are advised to pre-screen candidates’ documentation, prepare e-mails in advance and use an e-mail scheduler to hit the opening minute of the window.

The Ankara procedure illustrates the wider trend of Czech consulates worldwide rationing appointment capacity to manage high demand for employee cards—a practice that can disrupt project timelines if not carefully planned.
