• The Israeli authorities control entry to Palestine. Travelers reach the West Bank through crossings where Israeli officials carry out entry and customs checks: the Allenby (King Hussein) Bridge from Jordan, or the checkpoints from Israel. Israeli customs rules therefore apply to goods you bring in.
• For travelers aged 18 or older: 200 cigarettes or 250 g of other tobacco products, 1 L of spirits and 2 L of wine.
• Perfume: up to 250 ml per traveler.
• Other goods for personal use or as gifts (including up to 3 kg of food, no more than 1 kg of each kind): up to USD 200 per traveler aged 2 or older.
• Declare anything that may be prohibited or subject to tax or duty.
Currency
• The Israeli shekel (ILS) is one of the currencies in circulation and a legal means of payment for all purposes, under the 1994 Protocol on Economic Relations (Paris Protocol).
• At the Allenby crossing, cash and other means of payment worth JOD 2,000 or more in total must be reported to Israeli customs on Customs Form 84. At the Jordan River crossing the threshold is ILS 12,000, and at Ben Gurion Airport ILS 50,000.
Prohibited
• Goods on the Israeli customs prohibited list, including pirated and obscene goods, counterfeit coins and documents, imitation firearms, explosives and equipment for making or using dangerous drugs.
Restricted
• Plants, plant products, pets, drones and other wireless equipment, firearms and wildlife products need approval from the competent Israeli authority.
• Gaza: the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advises against all travel to Gaza, and the crossings into Gaza are closed to general traffic.
