• Travelers aged 18 or older: 800 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 50 cigarillos or 1,000 g of pipe tobacco or 1,000 g of tumbak (water-pipe tobacco).
• Travelers aged 18 or older: 2 L of whisky, champagne, cognac or a similar drink, or 4 L of other alcoholic drinks.
• 1 L of eau de cologne and 100 g of perfume.
• Medicines in quantities needed for personal use.
• Other new non-commercial personal items up to LBP 2,000,000 per traveler, or LBP 500,000 for Lebanese, Syrian and Jordanian nationals and residents of Lebanon, Syria or Jordan arriving by land from Syria or Jordan. These limits are still set in Lebanese pounds.
• Travelers under 18 get half of these allowances, but no tobacco or alcohol.
• The allowances apply whether the goods were bought abroad or in a duty-free shop. They do not apply to aircraft and ship crews or to people who travel regularly between Lebanon and abroad.
Currency
• Cash and other negotiable instruments (banknotes, coins, cheques, bills of exchange, promissory notes, payment orders, bearer shares, prepaid cards) worth more than USD 15,000 or the equivalent in other currencies must be declared to customs on arrival, using the customs declaration form (Law No. 42 of 24 November 2015).

Restricted
• All travelers must go to the customs office to declare what they carry. Travelers and their baggage may be inspected, including a personal search.
• Non-commercial goods above the duty-free allowances are charged normal customs duties.
• A mobile phone brought from abroad may be used in Lebanon without paying customs duties and taxes for up to 90 days a year in total.
• Pets (dogs, cats and other household pets) must have a microchip and travel with a pet passport or identity document signed by a veterinarian and endorsed by the official veterinary authority of the country of origin, showing the microchip number, species, breed, age and all vaccinations and treatments with dates. Pets must be vaccinated against rabies at least 1 month before arrival (for pets under 12 weeks, proof of the mother's rabies vaccination within the previous 6 months), dogs against parvovirus and cats against feline panleukopenia, and treated against worms. An official veterinary health certificate and a certificate of origin are also required. Pets without a microchip or vaccinations are quarantined at the owner's expense. A traveler may bring up to 3 pets without an import registration.
