Pune Airport Adds Direct Flights to Dubai and Bangkok in Winter Schedule

Pune Airport Adds Direct Flights to Dubai and Bangkok in Winter Schedule
The Airports Authority of India has cleared Pune International Airport’s winter schedule, effective 26 October 2025, featuring direct flights to Dubai (Air India Express daily) and Bangkok (Air India Express daily; IndiGo thrice-weekly). The move gives Pune its first nonstop connection to Southeast Asia and restores daily capacity to the Middle East after pandemic-era cuts.

With 208 daily departures now approved, Pune’s seat capacity rises 14 % year-on-year, easing pressure on Mumbai for corporate travellers from Maharashtra’s IT and manufacturing belt. Exporters of automotive components anticipate shorter lead-times to Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor.

Travel managers should note that the new Dubai flight departs Pune at 01:25, enabling same-day onward connections to Europe. The Bangkok service offers a late-evening return, attractive for weekend leisure extensions by road-warrior executives.

Immigration queues at Pune have historically been tight during simultaneous international departures; authorities say additional counters will open once the terminal expansion completes in December.

Industry observers see the route launches as a stepping stone toward nonstops to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur in 2026, contingent on bilateral seat allocations.
