Finnair Cargo Publishes Winter Wide-Body Schedule, Easing Household-Goods Capacity Crunch

Finnair Cargo Publishes Winter Wide-Body Schedule, Easing Household-Goods Capacity Crunch
Coinciding with the passenger timetable change on 26 October, Finnair Cargo released detailed wide-body frequencies for the 2025-26 winter season. Daily A350 services to Tokyo-Haneda, Hong Kong and Bangkok headline the list, while Helsinki–Dubai gains an A350 five days a week.

Relocation shippers welcomed the news after capacity constraints in Q3 pushed airfreight rates for unaccompanied household effects to five-year highs. The cargo arm says belly-hold volume on Asia routes will rise 12 % versus winter 2024-25, with particular focus on high-cube consignments such as bicycles and sports gear popular among expatriate families.

Forwarders can book allotments through Finnair Cargo Online; API integration for corporate movers is expected by year-end. The carrier also highlighted a new trucking solution between Haneda and Narita to maintain overnight connectivity for express shipments.

With sea freight from Asia to Finland facing six-week transits and Baltic congestion, air-cargo uplift offers a valuable hedge for urgent relocation timelines.
