New Immigration Figures Show Nearly One in Four Residents in Austria Were Born Abroad
ÖIF’s 2025 migration report shows 22.7 % of Austria’s population was born abroad, with Vienna at 40.9 %. Net migration slowed slightly but remains high, and unemployment among foreign nationals is still almost double the Austrian rate.
