Parramatta pop-up clinic offers confidential help to visa overstayers
The Immigration Status Resolution Service (ISRS) will deploy officers to Parramatta Mission Community Hub on 22 October 2025 for a two-hour, walk-in session assisting people whose visas have expired or who hold Bridging Visa E. The outreach is part of a rolling national program that Home Affairs says has helped more than 3,200 individuals regularise their status since July.

Services include individual pathway assessments, referrals to pro-bono legal aid and on-the-spot Bridging E renewals where appropriate. Officers emphasise that information provided is confidential and that “no enforcement action is taken during consultations,” aiming to build trust with vulnerable communities.

Employers with legacy workforce-compliance risks can discreetly encourage affected staff to attend; rectifying status early reduces exposure to fines under the Migration Amendment (Employer Sanctions) Act.

Home Affairs plans further pop-ups in Western Sydney on 29 October and in regional Victoria next month. Mobility advisers should monitor the ISRS schedule and advise foreign workers accordingly.
