Manitoba selects 206 candidates across three streams in latest MPNP draw
Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held a new round on 22 October 2025, inviting 206 immigration candidates, including 22 linked to Express Entry, under its Skilled Worker in Manitoba, Skilled Worker Overseas and International Education streams. Preliminary information indicates the lowest score for an invitation in the Skilled Worker Overseas category was 619.

The province has now issued 7,913 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) in 2025, positioning it to meet its restored 4,750 federal nomination allocation after Ottawa reversed early-year cuts. Manitoba officials say the draw targeted occupations in advanced manufacturing, agrifood and logistics to support the province’s export-oriented growth strategy and upcoming inland port expansion.

Employers benefit from the MPNP’s employer-direct portal, launched in August, which allows companies to pre-screen foreign talent and submit job offers digitally. Global-mobility managers should ensure that wage rates meet Manitoba’s new regional median thresholds and that settlement plans include rural-community integration if candidates intend to live outside Winnipeg.

Successful nominees receive an additional 600 CRS points toward Express Entry and may be eligible for expedited work permits under federal-provincial agreements, reducing assignment lead times. Organisations planning mid-2026 project ramps should align recruitment with anticipated February and May 2026 MPNP draws, historically the program’s largest.
