In a boost to India–Israel business and tourism ties, Air India confirmed on 6 November 2025 that it will relaunch its non-stop Delhi–Tel Aviv service on 1 January 2026 after a 20-month suspension. Five weekly Boeing 787 Dreamliner rotations are planned, departing Delhi in the early morning and returning from Tel Aviv midday to optimise onward connections within India’s domestic network.
The Israel Ministry of Tourism welcomed the decision, noting that Indian arrivals had already rebounded to 92 % of pre-pandemic levels despite the route’s suspension. Arkia Airlines, Israel’s leisure carrier, said it is exploring direct flights to Mumbai, Bengaluru and Goa using its A321neo LR fleet, underscoring growing bilateral demand.
For Indian corporates the reinstated service removes the need to route staff through Dubai or Istanbul, trimming typical door-to-door transit times by five to seven hours and eliminating back-to-back security screenings. Trade chambers predict a surge in fast-fashion sourcing, defence collaboration and tech delegations once the nonstop option is live. Travellers transiting to the Palestinian territories should note that separate permits remain mandatory.
Mobility managers should revise travel policies to include Tel Aviv under preferred-carrier deals with Air India and review security briefings, as Israel still mandates advanced passenger information uploads 24 hours before departure. Published fares start at ₹39,000 return in economy, but negotiated corporate rates are available for block bookings through GDS channels.
