Registration window closes for IRCC’s Destination Canada Education job fair
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) reminded prospective participants that 2 November is the final day to register for the online Destination Canada Education job fair, which will run 20–22 November. The event targets French-speaking and bilingual teachers and early-childhood educators interested in working outside Quebec.

Held on the vFairs platform, the fair features Canadian school boards and provincial recruiters seeking kindergarten-to-Grade-12 teachers, French-language instructors and childcare professionals. Applicants who complete the free registration by the deadline will receive invitations no later than 10 November, giving them access to virtual booths, job postings and live Q&A sessions.

For school districts facing persistent shortages—especially in rural Ontario, British Columbia and the Atlantic provinces—the fair is an essential pipeline for Francophone talent. Employers can meet candidates without the cost of overseas travel and can issue job offers that support Labour-Market Impact Assessment-exempt work permits under the Mobilité Francophone stream.

Participants should ensure CVs are in Canadian format and prepare digital copies of credentials for prescreening. While attending does not grant Express Entry points, IRCC notes that a valid job offer can accelerate work-permit issuance and lead to permanent-residence pathways such as the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot.
