New Month, New Fees: Toronto Consulate Posts November 2025 Czech Visa Tariffs
Effective 1 November 2025, the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Toronto has published its updated schedule of consular and visa fees. The tariff—adjusted monthly to reflect the Czech crown/Canadian dollar exchange rate—sets the short-term (Schengen C) visa at CAD $132 (EUR 90) and the long-term (D) visa or residence-permit fee at CZK 2 500 (about CAD $148).

The post will continue to accept payments by major credit cards, cash, certified cheque and a new online ČSOB payment link, aimed at eliminating cash in mail-in applications. Applicants paying by credit card should note that transactions are processed in CZK or EUR, and additional bank conversion fees may apply.

For corporate mobility teams, the monthly currency recalculation means budgeting for employee relocations can fluctuate from one month to the next. Employers that batch-file applications near month-end may wish to submit slightly higher certified cheques or wait until the new schedule is released to avoid processing delays caused by underpayment.

The Toronto update is part of a global MFA policy that standardises consular income across missions while reflecting local currency movements. Companies should expect similar first-of-the-month fee notices at other Czech posts worldwide.
