Cathay doubles Brisbane and Perth services and adds daily Dallas link in winter schedule
In a broader northern-winter timetable switch effective 26 October, Cathay Pacific increased Brisbane and Perth services to twice daily and will boost Hong Kong–Dallas/Fort Worth to daily. The Australian uplift raises weekly Australia-Hong Kong flights above 80, restoring capacity to 98 percent of pre-pandemic levels. Brisbane Airport called the move a ‘major freight and tourism win’, noting Hong Kong’s role as an overnight gateway to mainland China for Queensland exporters.

Perth, celebrating 55 years of Cathay operations, gains daylight and midnight departures, improving connections to Asian capitals. Meanwhile, the Dallas frequency gives corporates in the southern United States single-stop options to Latin America via on-carriage on oneworld partner American Airlines.

For relocation planners, more seats mean lower fare volatility during Australia’s peak summer season and better availability of unaccompanied-baggage cargo. The Dallas upgrade shortens total journey time for US-bound assignees by up to six hours compared with west-coast routings.

Cathay executives say the carrier has now reached the symbolic milestone of 100 passenger destinations, underscoring Hong Kong International Airport’s recovery as a hub. They flagged Adelaide as a seasonal addition from 11 November and hinted at further North American routes if yields hold.
